with the field drier underfoot but still soft only 4x4s where able to drive in and everyone else had to walk, sorry. It was a dry day with high pressure and a wind which was across court all day but after all it was only 175g practice day. A chance to fine tune reels and work on our cast, which was needed as this was the first full field day snice last year. We had a few daycasters one of which got a pb so well done to Gareth, longest cast went to our other daycaster Stephen who almost made 250yards. It was a fun day and warm for February as we even managed to take the coats off. Lots to work on for the next event the members 175g day.

we finally managed to get a decent wind but unfortunately recent rain had left the field a bit soft, so after a few casts the oche had turned into a mud bath and it was deemed unsafe. You were unable to stand without slipping so the event was abandoned so in two weeks it will be practice day for the 175g.

sorry lads our 2024 season is not starting well as the fields are heavily waterlogged, so casting next Sunday has been cancelled
