Today was our first meet of the new year and it started with heavy rain, but it soon dried up and became a nice sunny day with a south east wind or 15-20mph. Unfortunately the field was a bit wet to say the least so we set up in the driest spot we could find, this meant casting across the hill with a slight crosswind. Only 4 members turned up today and flu and work kept others away, so the round came thick and fast and it wasn't long until the oche was a mud bath. We managed about 10 round before it was too slippy to continue so we packed up and made the long walk back to the cars. Even though it was a quick day it was enjoyable and it was good to get back out and flex some carbon. well done to Stevie who managed the longest cast of the day.
